Meet your new computer

After taking it out of its shipping box, your new computer is ready to start a great working relationship with you.

The only thing it needs, is a little bit of love and care. Complete all steps in the green navigation bar below and the two of you will be a successful and effective team right out of the box!

On your smartphone, you can swipe left and right to navigate through the steps. You can also scroll through the green navigation bar and tap individual steps. Some steps come with longer instructions which you can reveal by scrolling the content up and down.

Select Your Country or Region

Select United States and click Continue.

Accessibility

Click Not Now.

Select Your Wi-Fi Network

Select your Wi-Fi Network from the list, enter your Wi-Fi password and click Continue.

Remote Management

Click Enroll.

Sign In

Enter your Invoca email address and click Next.

Click Password, enter your Invoca password and click Verify.

Your Invoca password has expired

This step does not apply to existing employees receiving a replacement computer.

Enter a new password of your choosing in the New password and Re-enter password fields. Afterwards, click Change Password. You now have a new Invoca password.

Set up security methods

This step does not apply to existing employees receiving a replacement computer.

Click Set up in the Okta Verify section.

Do not set up "Security Key or Biometric Authenticator" or "Phone" at this time. You'll get a chance to set those up later. If you are already using Google Authenticator and are familiar with how it works, you can choose it instead of Okta Verify.

Set up Okta Verify

This step does not apply to existing employees receiving a replacement computer.

Follow the instructions on screen including installing the Okta Verify mobile app on your smartphone, adding a new Organization account and scanning the QR code.

When asked to enable biometric authentication on your smartphone, tap Enable.

After setting up Okta Verify on your smartphone, click Continue on the security methods window on your computer.

The Okta Verify mobile app needs to remain installed on your smartphone in order to assist you with verifying your identity each time you log in to your Okta account.

Remote Management

Wait for your computer to finish automatic configuration. This usually completes within a few minutes depending on your Internet speed.

Enable Location Services

Check the box Enable Location Services on this Mac and click Continue.

Do not continue without enabling location services. Disabled location services will prevent your computer from working properly.

Login

Enter your Invoca email address, Invoca password and click .

Wait for your computer to finish automatic configuration. This usually completes within a few minutes depending on your Internet speed.

Your administrator requires you to enable FileVault

Click Enable Now and wait for the next step to appear on screen.

Touch ID

Click Continue and set up Touch ID by following the instructions on screen. Afterwards click Continue.

Do not continue without setting up Touch ID. Disabled Touch ID will prevent you from setting up Okta Verify including fast identity verification with your fingerprint later in the setup process.

Choose Your Look

Select your preferred macOS appearance and click Continue.

If you are unsure of what to select, we recommend you proceed with the preselected Light look.

Your Mac is getting set up ...

Wait for your computer to finish software installation. This usually takes between 5 to 10 minutes but can take up to 30 minutes depending on your Internet speed.

You can ignore errors during software installation should you encounter them. Your computer is self-healing and will resolve any issues after the restart.

It's time to restart your computer!

Once you see the desktop and this message displayed on a window in the background, ignore all other open pop-ups and restart your computer by clicking Restart... in the menu bar, unchecking the box Reopen windows when logging back in and clicking Restart.

Enter your Invoca password and click .

Enter your Invoca email address, Invoca password and click .

Google Chrome

In case you encountered errors during software installation, wait 15 minutes before you proceed with these steps. Your computer is self-healing and will resolve any issues during this time. If you encounter any open pop-ups after the restart, close them before proceeding with the steps below.

Open the Google Chrome app from the dock. Click Start Google Chrome and then click Use "Chrome" on each resulting pop-up.

Click Your Chrome, enter your Invoca email address and click Next.

On the Welcome to Okta Verify window, click Not now.

Enter your Invoca email address and click Next. Click Password, enter your Invoca password and click Verify.

Follow the instructions on screen to verify your identity through the Okta Verify mobile app on your smartphone.

Click Continue and then I understand. Afterwards, click Next, Yes, I'm in and Got it.

Welcome to Okta Verify

In case you closed the Welcome to Okta Verify window, reopen it by clicking the Okta Verify app icon in the menu bar and selecting Open Okta Verify.

Click Get Started and then click Next. In the New Account section, enter invoca.okta.com and click Next.

Follow the instructions on screen to verify your identity through the Okta Verify mobile app on your smartphone. Click Enable when asked to Enable Touch ID or password confirmation.

A confirmation that your account has been added will be displayed. Close the window by clicking the 🔴 red dot in the left upper corner.

Google Drive

Open the Finder app from the dock. Navigate to the Applications folder, open the Google Drive app, click Get started and then click Sign in. Select your name and click Sign in. Click OK on each resulting pop-up.

Afterwards, the message "Welcome! Your Drive files are just a click away." appears on a new window. Close the window by clicking the 🔴 red dot in the left upper corner, then click Quit.

For existing employees who have received a replacement computer, the journey ends here. Well done! Let us know in case we can help in any other way.

New hires, you move on to the next step and start setting up your access to Invoca business systems.

LastPass

Sign in to your Okta Dashboard at invoca.okta.com using Google Chrome, click the Google Mail tile and navigate through the welcome pop-ups until you reach your email inbox.

Open your LastPass Invitation email, copy your old master password and then start your LastPass account setup by clicking click here in the email. Paste your old master password into the Old Master Password field and click Save Master Password.

Click the LastPass icon in the right upper corner of Google Chrome, enter your Invoca email address, the password field will disappear and then click LOG IN.

Slack

Open the Slack app from the dock.

First, click Sign In to Invoca, then Sign in with Okta and lastly I Agree. On the pop-up, click Open Slack.app. Afterwards, navigate through the welcome screens.

Zoom

Sign in to your Okta Dashboard and click the Zoom tile.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Configure Calendar and Contacts Service. Click Continue, then select your name. Click Continue again, check Select all and end by clicking Continue.

Click the Extension icon in the right upper corner of Google Chrome, select Zoom Chrome Extension and click Sign In to Zoom.

Now, open the Zoom app from the dock.

Click Open zoom.us.app and then click Allow when asked for microphone access.

Confluence

Sign in to your Okta Dashboard and click the Confluence tile.

Click Skip on Welcome pop-up. Click Search for a space, afterwards select your department from the drop-down menu and click Next.

If your department isn't listed, select People & Culture instead.
